Roller ringing demonstrations across the country

BirdLife Hungary organizes field days to demonstrate ringing activities for the public in the Bükk, the Budapest, the Hajdú-Bihar and the Csongrád regions. The events will be run within the framework of the ’ Conservation of the European Roller (Coracias garrulus) within the Carpathian Basin’ project. Roller nest boxes shall be checked at four localities and those chicks that are large enough to be ringed, will receive their individual markings. The event is a wonderful opportunity to observe these fantastically coloured birds close-up.

The sites are accessible by car. Participation requires registration in advance (names, number of persons, contact information).
